DCEU: Ranking The Batgirl Actress Shortlist From Worst To Best

1. Jane Levy

Katherine Waterson Batgirl
Ghost House Pictures

Known For: Evil Dead (2013), Don't Breathe, Suburgatory.

At 27 years, Jane Levy is the oldest actress on this list, but that's not to say she's 'too old' to play Batgirl.

In fact, it's quite the opposite; she's the perfect age. Her age means that she's the most experienced of the bunch, and that's reflected in her filmography, which spans a multitude of genres, like horror, comedy and family-friendly movies.

Also, remember that Ben Affleck's Batman is in his late forties; having a thirty-year old Batgirl would make a lot of sense, and compared to some of the other actresses on this list - who are as young as 19 - Levy seems the most age-appropriate choice.

Plus, her characters are always driven, tough-as-nails and easy to root for. She was the only one who survived Evil Dead, and her character took out the demon with a chainsaw, no less. Levy has led a variety of projects but hasn't quite broken out yet, and Batgirl would be the perfect vehicle to propel her career to the next level.

Chances Of Her Being Cast: Levy has a film and a TV series in pre-production, so sadly, her schedule isn't as clear as it may need to be.

Fortunately, the TV series is only ten episodes, and the film - Four Seasons - is a small comedy, so neither will take a ton of time to shoot.

However, her proven talent and experience in a variety of genres sets her head and shoulders above most of these other actresses, and she's still young enough that she could play Batgirl for several movies, into the 2020s and beyond, with ease. 8/10

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
