When Ajax has seemingly beaten Deadpool with a knife to the head, the Merc begins to see Vanessa become surrounded by a bunch of cartoon sprites. A moment of utter randomness in a film that delights in being as utterly random as possible, it's a jokey change of pace from the highly R-rated fight. Oh, and it's a neat comic reference too! Deadpool sees the world in Pool-O-Vision, basically a cheeky way to insert a bit of visual comedy into the books (the name is a riff on POV), and while our movie version doesn't normally, that's exactly what's going on in this sequence. The heart from the Pool-O-Vision pops up again during the end credits, intimidating the Skottie Young-esque Deadpool while he tries to take a whizz. Does that mean those little animations are all in Deadpool's mind? Are there any more easter eggs still to be found in Deadpool? Shout out any we've missed down in the comments.
