Who'd have thought that not one but two of the best action movies of the last few years - The Raid and its superb sequel - would come from the Welsh Valleys. But this is the case and Gareth Evans is the real deal when it comes to lensing pulsating dust ups on screen.

The true success of both Raid movies was a sense of momentum; you genuinely felt like you were ascending that grubby high-rise in the first movie or gliding through the slums of Jakarta in the sequel and this is testament to Evan's unique way of chucking the camera around. Also, let's face it, protagonist Rama is Deadpool, just without the smutty mouth.

With a Deadpool movie Evans would have ample opportunity to pull off some showstopping action sequences and is proven at choreographing martial arts scenes, as well as body popping gunplay. He's not in the running at present, but don't discount him.
