Deadpool 3: 8 MCU Characters That Need To Appear
4. Professor X
He may not have made his presence known on Earth-616, not yet at least, but Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness officially made Charles Xavier an MCU character. Though Patrick Stewart’s future in the franchise is unclear, Kevin Feige needs to do everything he can to bring him back for one more movie.
The general feeling is that Xavier will be recast in the MCU, even in spite of Stewart’s appearance in the Multiverse of Madness, but like with Nick Fury, Deadpool has referenced this version of the character many years ago. He simply has to finally meet the Professor.
There was of course, the famous cameo in Deadpool 2 of the younger X-Men team, including James McAvoy’s Xavier, but it’s Stewart that has to appear in Deadpool 3. He is the classic version of the character, and as the leader of the X-Men, it makes sense. Even if it would be for little more than fan service, it would be worth it.
There is also Xavier’s relationship with Logan. The Professor’s death in Logan was utterly heartbreaking, and while it was the perfect send-off for both characters, with one returning it would feel almost criminal not to bring back the other.
