Deadpool Review: 9 Ups And 7 Downs You Need To Know
5. Seriously, Not Even Hugh Jackman?
Considering the constant banter and close friendship that Reynolds and Jackman have, especially over Twitter - including Jackman participating in the 12 Days of Deadpool, over Christmas - many expected the Wolverine to make an appearance in the film. It would have made a lot of sense, especially considering Wade Wilson's debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (as miscalculated as it may have been). Sure, they probably went the route of wanting Deadpool to stand on his own two legs without any assistance from Jackman, but still. One tiny bone thrown to fans couldn't have gone amiss. Instead, all we got were three or four jabs in Jackman's direction which, although admittedly funny, were a taste of something better. After all, the only thing that could trump Deadpool taking the p*ss out of Wolverine would be Deadpool taking the p*ss out of Wolverine... to his face.
