Deadpool Review: 9 Ups And 7 Downs You Need To Know

6. That Is One Empty X-Mansion

I know there's the gag about the budget not going far enough to get any other X-Men to make an appearance at the Mansion, but come on. There's literally no one else walking around apart from Colossus and Negasonic! Not even an extra. It's just a waste; did they even ask any of the old actors if they wanted to show up pro bono? No one was around? It makes even the appearance of Colossus (played by a new actor, no less, immediately setting it apart from the previous X-films) a little empty and meaningless, because it still feels so separate from the main X-franchise. It feels like the filmmakers want to dip a toe into franchise crossover waters without actually committing to it.
