Another day, another awesome slice of Captain America: Civil War marketing material.

That's right: after yesterday's Team Cap fight clip, we now find ourselves treated with a look at the new IMAX poster for the upcoming superhero flick, which is almost certainly the best poster for the film to date.

What's particularly great about this one is that it gives the majority of the main characters a chance to shine, while still showing their allegiance to either Cap or Iron Man. It has a neat, old school '80s movie poster feel about it, too (Drew Struzan, eat your heart out!).

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo were recently prompted to discuss all those ill-fated scenes that were left on the cutting room floor during the editing process for the movie, and their response has given us an insight into one of the film's deleted scenes. Here's what Joe had to say:

"There was a scene between Natasha and T€™Challa at the German Ops Center, halfway through the movie when he was sitting in that room. Cap and Falcon had been isolated in the other conference room. We didn€™t feel like it was moving the story telling forward and they had already had a scene so it felt repetitive so it was something we excised from the movie."

The original cut of the film was also revealed to be two hours and forty-one minutes in length during this particularly candid conversation, while the final cut - the one we'll see in cinemas in just a matter of weeks - runs at two hours and twenty-eight minutes.

I think it's rare to stumble upon a deleted scene that you genuinely feel to have belonged in the movie; that's why it was taken out in the first place, right? Besides, a two hour and twenty-eight minute cut of Civil War feels perfect. In light of this conversation, it does seem unlikely that we'll get an extended version of the film with thehome video release (unlike Batman VSuperman), but we might be lucky enough to get a glimpse at the twenty or so minutes that didn't make the cut on the extra features.

Make it happen, Marvel.

Captain America: Civil War is out in cinemas in the UK on April 29th and the US from May 6th.
