Disney, with all the studios they own, have a vast back catalogue of movies dating back decades, and a lot of that is going to be available on Disney Plus.

The streaming service will, at launch, have 100 movies available, with the aim to then have 500 movies within 'year one'. They're doing a staggered release of many of their biggest franchises: for example, the first two Star Wars trilogies, as well as Rogue One and The Force Awakens, will be available immediately, with The Last Jedi, Solo, and Episode IX then set to be added by the end of 2020.

That's a similar approach they're taking with Pixar and Marvel too, with not every film from either studio available immediately, but they will aim to have all Pixar films and shorts by the end of 2020, and most Marvel films as well, including Captain Marvel at launch. That's alongside the Disney catalogue, which will be gradually added too over the year.
