Django Unchained: 10 Reasons It's The Most Anticipated Tarantino Movie Ever

4. It Promises to Push The Envelope

Tarantino has always been one to push the filmic envelope both in terms of the violence and story and as a result, there are leagues of Tarantino critics out there who argue that he's a sensationalist; that his films are only so popular because they're often so inflammatory. I cannot agree with that sentiment. In my eyes, Tarantino pushes the limits of what he can say and do in his films not for sensationalism, but because of an unerring vision which, once set, cannot be diluted or influenced by societal or studio pressure. Django Unchained is said to really push that proverbial envelope (not surprising given the subject matter); so much so that DiCaprio was actually quoted in Vibe Magazine as saying " immediate question was 'are we going to far'. According to sources, Calvin Candie is the most vile and inhumane villain Tarantino has ever written, which when considering his back-catalogue of despicable baddies, is really saying something. My advice is that you should prepare to be shocked and, if you're that way inclined, totally offended to the point of angry letter writing.
