Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: 10 Major New Details You Need To Know
3. Doctor Strange May Have A New Love Interest In Clea
Back in January, a casting call went out for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness searching for a female lead between 27 and 42 of open ethnicity with "leading lady qualities." That was soon confirmed as being Clea, a fan-favourite love interest of the Sorcerer Supreme's from the comic books.
The niece of the Dread Dormammu (the first movie's lead villain who Strange managed to trap in a time loop before forcing him to remain in the Dark Dimension), there's every chance Clea will serve as an antagonist initially. After all, there's every chance she's been led to believe Strange is the bad guy!
A Stan Lee and Steve Ditko creation with a tonne of history, the possibilities are in many ways endless when it comes to what could be done with Clea, but this sequel is starting to look awfully crowded. After all, joining Strange will be this character, the Scarlet Witch, America Chavez, and Brother Voodoo, not to mention the returning Karl Mordo (potentially as a villain based on that post-credits tease).
Oh, and we haven't even got around to talking about the rumoured big bad of this sequel yet.
