Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves Review - 6 Ups & 4 Downs

1. Not Enough Regé-Jean Page

Regé-Jean Page is a total badass and easy standout in this movie, playing the extremely powerful, kick-ass paladin Xenk Yendar. And while the marketing suggested that he was playing a major role among the adventurous ensemble, he's sadly only in the movie for a brief handful of scenes.

Xenk ends up joining Edgin (Chris Pine), Holga (Michelle Rodriguez), and the others mid-way through the story to help them on their quest, though ends up dipping back out of the movie after this set-piece is completed.

While the film gets mildly wink-wink about removing its most powerful hero from the ensemble, for an actor as talented as Page to play a character as cool as Xenk for just a few brief scenes feels like a majorly missed opportunity. He certainly makes the most of his scant screen time, though.

And with these issues accepted, here's everything D&D gets right...
