Every 2016 Comic Book Movie Ranked Worst To Best

14. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows

2016 Comic Book Movies
Paramount Home Entertainment

It's fairly easy to forget that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies are actually comic book movies - mostly because most people decrying them tend to take the line that the childhood-ruining they do is restricted more to the toy lines - but it's still the truth.

And unfortunately, ruinous is exactly what this sequel was. After the first movie was a mess of slanted camera angles, unnecessary slow mo and puerile humour (you know, ALL the Michael Bay staples), Paramount turned the heat up and went full fan-bait, bringing in beloved characters like Bebop and Rocksteady, Krang and Casey Jones and removing any sense of restraint.

The plot is daft, the acting awful and the entire thing gaudy and unpleasant, and it has passed straight through the whole "so bad it's good" point and into a whole new "so bad it's literally horrific" state.
