13. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword Of Destiny

A colossally disappointing sequel to Ang Lee's 2000 Best Picture-nominated masterpiece, Sword of Destiny may benefit from some entertaining fight choreography, but the narrative and characters feel woefully inferior to the original, the editing feels rougher, there's too much noticeable CGI and though Michelle Yeoh tries, she's not nearly given enough to work with here.

It's certainly not a painful sit in the Adam Sandler or Kevin James sense, but it's just incredibly underwhelming and feels churned out quickly without much consideration about the legacy of the original.

If Lee's film was graceful and gorgeous, this belated follow-up is dispiritingly clumsy and heavy-handed.
