Every Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie Ranked Worst To Best
27. Terminator: Dark Fate
Terminator: Dark Fate had plenty of promise, with Linda Hamilton returning as an aged Sarah Connor to do battle with the forces of Skynet once again. Sadly, like the preceding two sequels, Tim Miller's film got mired in the weeds of retroactive continuity, adding further insult to the injury inflicted by Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines by going back again to Terminator 2: Judgment Day and killing off John Connor.
While unfortunate, the killing of Connor isn't what sinks Dark Fate. The film struggles to justify the gambit, but its biggest shortcomings emerge at a technical level. It simply isn't particularly interesting to look at, and while Hamilton and Schwarzenegger (again returning as a reprogrammed T-800) ooze gravitas, the action never rises to meet the occasion.
