Joe Carnahan's loony 2006 action-thriller isn't a great movie by any means, but there is something to its scattergun approach to both action and comedy.

Armed with a frankly ridiculous ensemble cast including Ryan Reynolds, Jason Bateman, Common, Andy GarcĂa, Alicia Keys, Taraji P. Henson, Ray Liotta, Chris Pine, and Matthew Fox, this unhinged schlock-fest about a mafia informant (Piven) who gets targeted for assassination basically feels like a live-action cartoon.

Affleck only has a small role in the film as an ill-fated bail bondsman, but like everyone else here he seems to be having a lot of fun. It's loud, contrived, uneven, and shamelessly sub-Tarantino, but has also earned its station as a barmy cult classic.
