Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
19. Daddy & Them (2001)
Don't feel bad if you haven't heard of Daddy and Them - Billy Bob Thornton's 2001 dramedy had its wide theatrical release cancelled by Miramax and it's basically flown under the radar ever since.
It's actually pretty good, though - a blackly comedic satire about Southern fried life as a married couple (Billy Bob Thornton and Laura Dern) are forced to help their uncle (Jim Varney) after he's jailed for attempted murder.
For a movie basically sent out to die, this thing has a shockingly good cast - beyond Affleck, Thornton, Dern, and Varney, there's Andy Griffith, Kelly Preston, Diane Ladd, Brenda Blethyn, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
It's a quirky dark comedy through and through that trades in simple sentiments but basically works. Affleck and Curtis steal the show during their brief appearance as a pair of married doofus lawyers - a weird enough teaming to make the film worth watching, honestly.
