Perhaps one of the most underappreciated of Affleck's recent movies, The Accountant received mixed reviews upon release but has become a bit of a cult fave for the actor's fans.

This is certainly one of Affleck's most unique and unexpected performances, portraying an autistic forensic accountant who also happens to be a dab hand at kicking ass.

Much more character-driven than its marketing initially suggested, this isn't a mile-a-minute action flick but actually something much better - a cerebral and at times weirdly affecting dramatic thriller with far more on its mind than expected.

Affleck gives a low-key corker of a performance, and it was confirmed late last year that a sequel is indeed in the works. Get hype.
