Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
17. Going All The Way (1997)
The feature debut of Arlington Road director Mark Pellington, Going All the Way is a coming-of-age dramedy set in 1950s middle-America, where two veterans of the Korean War (Affleck and Jeremy Davies) reunite upon returning home.
Though the title and especially the trailer sold it as a much broader, sexier film than it actually is, Going All The Way is really far more about PTSD/trauma and masculinity, with Davies and Affleck both giving rock solid performances as the two central characters.
This is pretty low-key and meandering, which may throw those lured in by the promises of something frothier, but it also feels emotionally honest, and Rachel Weisz and Rose McGowan both turn in solid work in supporting romantic capacity.
