15. Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

Zack Snyder's Justice League saw the filmmaker be given the rarest of opportunities - a do-over on his messy original Justice League project, taking it back out of Joss Whedon's maw and spending $70 million of Warner Bros' money to complete a four-hour, straight-to-streaming superhero epic.

Is the end result egregiously overlong and full of sloppy CGI? Absolutely, but it's also a surprisingly entertaining romp that sees Snyder taking his maximalist filmmaking style to its seemingly logical conclusion.

Fleshing out all the character arcs that felt spotty and incomplete in the theatrical version, this is a vastly superior effort that does better justice to every single character, best of all Cyborg (Ray Fisher), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Affleck's Batman.

It's unapologetically messy and never could've been released theatrically in this form, but it also delivered firmly on the grandiosity Snyder promised for the 2017 original.
