Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

Hollywoodland is the movie where Ben Affleck technically played Superman. Well, sort of.

This period neo-noir stars Affleck as 1950s Superman actor George Reeves, though is ultimately centered around the investigation of his mysterious demise, headed up by Los Angeles PI Louis Simo (Adrien Brody).

Though it doesn't even begin to live up to the considerable awards hype that swirled around the project when it was first announced, this is a fascinating film in its own way, bolstered by immaculate period detail and strong work from both Affleck and Brody.

Affleck's turn won him the Venice Film Festival's coveted Best Actor award and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor, even if the film has sadly flown mostly under the radar in recent years.
