Zack Snyder's departure from Justice League seems to have shunted the former "Part Two" chapter out of active development for now. It was going to be set up directly by the end of the first movie, but Joss Whedon changed that and while there's some big loose ends - like Darkseid's impending invasion - it didn't feel entirely pressing for a sequel.

If Ben Affleck doesn't come back for The Batman, he could still continue as the Justice League Batman, according to rumours and that wouldn't be the worst thing. It's just whether Warner Bros see any financial viability in a sequel.

Will It Happen?

It probably depends on Flashpoint. If the rumours are true that that will reset the DCEU in some way, then we will probably get another Justice League movie down the line. Right now though, it still doesn't feel like there's enough good will out there for a straight sequel, even with the Darkseid story dangling.
