Every Final Destination Movie Ranked Worst To Best
1. Final Destination 3 (2006)
Many still look to the original as the best in the franchise, but all told it is Final Destination 3 that stands as the crown jewel of the series.
The initial disaster is the best of the franchise, too, setting the tone brilliantly with a much more subdued but intense sequence than the rest of the films. From the slow, violent rollercoaster crash that gets things rolling, the film really doesn't slow down to take a breath, allowing the plot to unfold with much less exposition and a lot more death and action than its predecessors.
Final Destination 3 gave audiences the deeply traumatising sunbed death, the head-crushing gym accident, and (serving as the icing on the cake) the final reveal that subtly ties together with the previous film and kills off all the franchise's surviving protagonists in a bleak and sudden last act.
This horror sequel is everything the Final Destination franchise should be, bursting with memorable characters, clever twists, and death scenes destined to stay with you long after the credits have finished rolling. Here's to hoping that, if they ever keep the series going, they look to Final Destination 3 for inspiration on how to do it right.
