Every Jared Leto Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

20. The Last Of The High Kings (1996)

Jared Leto Suicide Squad
First Independent Films

This coming-of-age drama stars Leto as Irish lad Frankie Griffin, who spends the summer pondering his future as he awaits his exam results.

The Last of the High Kings is probably worth watching for Leto's attempt at an Irish accent alone - not terrible, not particularly good, but definitely a bit off.

Even back in 1996 a young, wet-around-the-ears Leto feels miscast in such a whimsical dramedy, but the more veteran cast members - namely Catherine O'Hara, Gabriel Byrne, Colm Meaney, and Stephen Rea - do fine work with what they have.

Christina Ricci also pops up for a brief but fun cameo as a visiting American teen who takes a shine to Frankie.

It's... fine, but hardly one of Leto's most inspired projects.
