Every Liam Neeson Action Movie Ranked Worst To Best
7. The Commuter (2018)
The best Neeson vehicles cast the actor as desperate men who are at the end of their rope and totally blindsided by their latest predicament. Such is the case with The Commuter, directed by Collet-Serra as an obvious and surprisingly effective spiritual successor to 2014's Non-Stop.
Trapped on a train in a mysterious game of cat-and-mouse, The Commuter follows Neeson as he picks apart the secrets of his predicament and the woman who's toying with him, and grapples with his personal failings in the process. It isn't exactly original, but it's so exciting and tightly plotted it's easy to forgive.
Collet-Serra is one of Neeson's best directors, and knows what makes the actor tick. Under his guidance, Neeson feels totally at ease, working of co-stars Vera Farmiga, Sam Neill and Jonathan Banks to create a bracing action flick that knows exactly what it is. What's not to love?
