Every Liam Neeson Action Movie Ranked Worst To Best
8. Cold Pursuit (2019)

Cold Pursuit is the most unique offering in Neeson's post-Taken career, following the actor as a snowplow driver who learns his son was murdered and heads on the warpath to kill the local cartel who killed him. It sounds like a standard affair, but it comes with an edge that sets it apart -- it's ludicrously funny.
Directed by Hans Petter Moland as a remake of his own brilliant 2014 film In Order of Disappearance, Cold Pursuit comes with a high body count and a healthy helping of deliciously dark laughs, making it both a thrilling tale of violent revenge and a striking example of how amusing Neeson can be under his trademark sternness.
Like many of his movies, it gets a tad jumbled and overstuffed in the final act, but it still strikes a confident line between comedy and action. It's nice to see Neeson cutting loose and having some fun, really, so much so that the film's most noticeable flaws, like somehow wasting Laura Dern, can be overlooked.
