Every Liam Neeson Action Movie Ranked Worst To Best

5. Non-Stop (2014)

Liam Liam Neeson Non Stop
Universal Pictures

The premise couldn't be more simple: Liam Neeson is Bill Marks, an alcoholic air marshal forced to figure out which of his fellow passengers is a killer demanding a hefty amount of money. It's preposterous stuff, but thanks to Neeson and Collet-Serra it's an absolute blast, attacking its implausibility with grit and twists to spare.

This is exactly the kind of role Neeson has thrived with since 2008, and it's one his best. At once weathered and deadly, haunted by his past and unsure of his future, he creates a strong emotional tether to the action that surrounds him, and alongside co-stars Julianne Moore and Scoot McNairy actually makes you care.

After the first two Taken films and Unknown, Non-Stop was the first film that really proved Neeson's time as an action star wasn't a one-off fluke, and that he had the potential to keep it up. It's a genuinely tense, exciting little film, and not one you can really fault if you're looking for an entertaining thriller.
