Every Liam Neeson Action Movie Ranked Worst To Best
4. The A-Team (2010)
Of all the films on this list, The A-Team is the only one that can be considered an ensemble picture, but Neeson -- much like his team leader Captain Hannibal Smith -- is the glue holding everyone else together. He's joined by Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, and Quintin Jackson for a remake that actually holds up.
It's not high art, and your tolerance for it definitely depends on your love for Joe Carnahan's maximalist directing style and the script's hit-and-miss humour, but taken on the strength of its cast and surprising effectiveness of its action, The A-Team is a homerun in need of a reappraisal.
Amongst all its highs and lows, the film is anchored by Neeson, who plays Hannibal as a selfless leader, a cocky soldier, and a heartbroken soul unable to comprehend being betrayed by his own people. It's a commanding performance in a bombastic, leave-your-brain-at-the-door thriller, and it makes The A-Team sing.
