While not every creative choice was sure to please every fan, the film's savage commentary re: toxic fandoms resulted in one of the most amusing villain reveals of the entire series.

And with the filmmakers returning for the soon-to-release Scream VI, it's easy be optimistic about the hastily assembled sequel.
