Every Major Movie Sequel Of 2022 - Ranked From Worst To Best

15. Clerks III

Jurassic World Dominion Thor Love and Thunder Top Gun Maverick
Lionsgate

Clerks III remains one of the most bizarre, bewildering sequels of the last few years, for while Kevin Smith sold it as a redemptive, hopeful farewell to Dante (Brian O'Halloran) and Randall (Jeff Anderson), that wasn't really what we got at all.

A desperately sad, even legitimately depressing conclusion to the slacker duo's story, Clerks III saw Smith use his real-life health issues to get incredibly real about life, and arguably did so in a manner which didn't best serve his characters.

Throw in a bevy of immensely hit-and-miss meta gags and some embarrassing shilling for NFTs, and you've got a strange mess of a sequel that at least packs a strong emotional punch, as much as fans might have mixed feelings about it.
