Every MCU Credits Scene Ranked From Worst To Best

20. Spider-Man: No Way Home - Venom

Venom Let There Be Carnage

Scene: Having been transported to the world of the MCU by Doctor Strange's botched spell, Venom (Tom Hardy) is sitting in a bar and chatting with the bartender. Then, Doctor Strange's later spell (cast during the film's brilliant climax) sends him back to his universe... but he leaves behind a bit of the Venom symbiote, which begins to move.

The credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which showed Venom being transported into the MCU's world, was absolutely awesome and this scene was a good follow-up as well.

This one being so high up might be controversial, as some were disappointed that Tom Hardy's Venom only appeared in the credits scene as opposed to the main story of the film but honestly, this was arguably the right move. After all, Tom Hardy's Venom is basically a heroic character and having an MCU-specific Venom - and one which is an unambiguously villainous character - is the right direction to go in.

Besides, Tom Hardy's Venom was as delightful as ever and the scene offered a tantalizing, intelligently subtle set-up for the future so overall, thumbs up.

This was a very neat way to tie and the MCU and the Sony Marvel films together... if only the recent Morbius had taken notes from this. That film has arguably the worst credits scenes (which tie into the MCU, as Michael Keaton's Vulture appears in them) in superhero movie history.
