Every MCU Movie & TV Show Ranked Worst To Best
19. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Before Tom Holland's Spider-Man debuted in Civil War, his turn as Peter Parker had been preceded by two other actors and five live-action movies, putting audiences on edge about how fresh a story the MCU could carve for its resident web-slinger.
Luckily, Spider-Man: Homecoming put most fears to bed, with a refreshing coming-of-age story in which Parker faces off with Michael Keaton's scene-stealing Vulture and struggles to find his place as a hero and a seemingly normal high schooler.
Skipping over the familiar beats of Spidey's origins -- no spider bites, no Uncle Ben tragedy -- Homecoming soars with its performances and depiction of teen life, and thanks to director Jon Watts does so without losing sight of its action-heavy set pieces, or the wider influence of the MCU lurking beyond its intimate drama.
