Every MCU Villain Plot Ranked From Worst To Best
2. The Empowerment Of The Oppressed - Killmonger (Black Panther)
Black Panther is one of the best movies the MCU has produced, and not least because of Erik Killmonger. Michael B. Jordan's second crack at a Marvel character after Johnny Storm turned out to be one of the greatest antagonists in the entire franchise. But it's not just the character, it's the story behind him, and the motivation that drives him.
The son of a murdered Wakandan prince, left abandoned in California, N'Jadaka had reason to bare a grudge against the royal family. His hatred went deeper however, seeing the African nation with the means to help those struggling all over the world, and no intention of using it.
Erik killed potentially hundreds of people to have the opportunity of taking the throne from his cousin, and though his methods were questionable, there is no doubt the good in his reasons. So compelling and moving was Erik's case, that the villain actually made an impact for good on T'Challa.
After Killmonger's death, choosing to end his life instead of continuing in bondage, the King of Wakanda opened his nation's doors, starting with an outreach programme in the very city where his uncle was murdered. If not for the words and actions of N'Jadaka, T'Challa would have been a lesser King, and the world would not have beneffited from the resources of Wakanda.
