Into The Spider-Verse is an animated film that looks like nothing you've ever seen before. It took what was essentially a mess of copyright restrictions and legal issues, and managed to use that as the basis for a beautiful story of a band of misfits finding strength together.

Not only is it the funniest film on this list, it is also one of the most tear-jerking. Even the silliest characters get their moments of pathos, and the most dramatic characters get their moments of levity.

It's wild and frenetic, while also being focused and controlled. The whole thing is a big ball of pure joy that shouldn't even work, but somehow thrives.
