Every Non-MCU Marvel Movie RANKED From Worst To Best

2. Logan

Marvel Movies
20th Century Studios

From a a big ball of pure joy, to a deep lake of ultimate despair: Logan couldn't be further away in tone from Into The Spider-Verse.

Although it does share similar themes of misfits learning to work together and finding strength in each other's company, what sets Logan apart from every other superhero movie is how shockingly, overwhelmingly sad it is. From the get go, this film is one long train of deeply sad moments that only get sadder with every new revelation. We eventually reach a hopeful ending, that is, of course, also incredibly sad.

Logan completely rewrote the rulebook on superhero movies, in a way that still hasn't been matched since it was released in 2017. It is a beautiful farewell to Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart's long tenure as the faces of mutantkind, and an explosive introduction to the ferociously talented Dafne Keen, who steals the show as Laura.
