Every Pixar Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

6. Toy Story 2

Believe it or not, Toy Story 2 was originally supposed to go direct-to-video, but once Disney saw how well production was coming along they upgraded it to a full-fat theatrical feature.

Following up one of the most beloved and ground-breaking animated films of all time was no easy feat, and yet Toy Story 2 basically makes it look effortless, deepening the relationship between Woody and Buzz (Tim Allen), while introducing instant classic characters Jessie (Joan Cusack) and Bullseye.

Stinky Pete (Kelsey Grammer) and Al (Wayne Knight) also serve as fitting villainous follow-ups to Sid, in a story that goes to more challenging emotional places - Jessie's backstory still stings - while laying the groundwork for a third film that further explores notions of impermanence and existential dread.

Even the Star Wars parody centered around Buzz, which seems rather like low-hanging fruit at first, is absolutely terrific.
