13. Finding Dory (2016)
Like the vast majority of Pixar's recent sequels, Finding Dory wasn't exactly a must-have for fans of the admittedly amazing Finding Nemo. That being said, the Dory-centred sequel is a brilliant follow-up, allowing Ellen DeGeneres to take centre stage and giving Dory a heartbreaking but powerful backstory.
Like the previous film, Finding Dory is a comedy at heart, but shows just how great Pixar can be at balancing the emotion with the action and still excellent humour.
Of the animation studio's recent sequels, Finding Dory is certainly one of the strongest, and is boosted to genuine greatness by its exceptional voice cast (Ed O'Neill in particular shines in a packed ensemble) and well handled themes of family and acceptance.
