Every Pixar Movie Ranked Worst To Best
21. Cars 3 (2017)
Despite being almost unanimously their worst film to date, Cars 2 generated a large enough profit to warrant a sequel. This time, though, Cars 3 got back to basics with a tale of Lightning McQueen coming to terms with his inevitable retirement.
Cars 3 has a fairly predictable plot reminiscent of the original film, and the film's slick new adversaries make for some entertaining additions to the fold, but between Lightning's latest journey of heartfelt self-discovery and a solid voice cast rounded out by Chris Cooper, Kerry Washington and Nathan Fillion, the film is surprisingly forgettable overall.
Like many of Pixar's latest adventures, Cars 3 looks good and makes for some decent entertainment at the time, but offers very little to make itself stand out.
