Every Pokemon Movie Ranked Worst To Best

The Black and White run of the anime remains a particularly divisive chapter in Pokemon history, having scaled back Ash's development and widened its supporting cast arguably at his expense - and he's not even the effective protagonist of this adventure, instead replaced by the water-and-fighting-type Keldeo.

Young and rash, the Mythical Pokemon is aided by Ash plus companions Iris and Cilan on his quest to challenge the Legendary Kyurem, in his attempt to become a Sword of Justice, a Three Musketeers-esque group of roaming heroes. The Pokemon-as-protagonist ploy wasn't exactly new here and with a particularly uninspiring player at its centre, this really failed to cut the mustard.
