Every Spider-Man Movie Ranked Worst To Best
9. Spider-Man (1978)
Confusingly, at the same time as the CBS The Amazing Spider-Man movies were coming out, the Japanese Spider-Man TV show was doing the same thing. The film took place between episodes 10 ("To the Flaming Hell: See the Tears of the Snake Woman") and 11 ("Professor Monster's Ultra Poisoning"), and is as incredibly odd as those titles.
The show was always a little like the bastard, mutated child of Spider-Man and the Power Rangers. It doesn't star Peter Parker either, instead the hero is motorcycle racer turned super hero Takuya Yamashiro, who battles the nefarious Iron Cross Army using guns and a giant robot.
It's safe to say it's nothing like the Spider-Man you will ever have encountered before, but as a weird artefact, it's definitely something. And the show's intro is well worth watching if only for its glorious theme tune...
