Boba Fett was better off without a backstory, especially one that sees him cradling the head of his dad; whose decapitated noggin somehow doesn’t fall out of his helmet. That said, Jango is basically an excuse for Lucas to show how badass Boba could have been.

We see him flying around on his jetpack, blasting away with twin lasers and being a total boss. In a way, he’s also responsible for all the stormtroopers too, since they’re cloned from him. This may explain why they’re terrible shots since Jango doesn’t have much luck actually hitting anything he shoots at.

If you combine Boba and Jango you just about get one unstoppable anti-hero, though fans probably would have preferred if it had just been Boba and not the Diet Pepsi version.
