Every Star Wars Movie Villain Ranked From Worst To Best

It’s easy to imagine the sitcom version of The Force Awakens, where General Hux and Kylo Ren are mismatched roommates. Hux is the neat and tidy one looking to advance his career, while Ren is the messy wildcard prone to anger and letting his daddy issues get the better of him; hijinks ensue!

While that example is a bit broad, it basically sums up Hux’s role. He’s the straight man to Ren’s impulsive douche, the Moff Tarkin to Ren's Darth Vader. In fairness Gleeson’s performance – especially in his big speech to the troops – powers the character, and when they destroy five planets with their super weapon it’s hard not to feel a chill while Hux looks upon the destruction without emotion.

He’ll never be one of the greats, but it’ll be satisfying when he eventually buys it.
