Every Stephen King Movie Ranked Worst To Best

Thomas Jane has starred in three Stephen King adaptations (including, unfortunately, Dreamcatcher), and his relationship with long-time King collaborator Frank Darabont almost landed him the role of Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead.
You can certainly see him in that famous role, but if he was cast as Officer Friendly he'd never have made 1922, an adaptation of another "Full Dark, No Stars" tale that follows a bitter farmer who, after killing his wife with aid from their impressionable son, quickly finds his sins can't be as easily buried as a dead body.
Jane's portrayal of a disillusioned murderer is an unsettling display, though the true star has to be director Zac Hilditch, who controls 1922's slow-burn tragedy with compelling restraint.
