The House

The Blood Moon has risen over a colonial town. For those who worship the moon, the time has begun to make a sacrifice of all those who are non-believers.

The Verdict

No other house proves that houses low on your hype list can turn out to be completely different once you experience them for real more than Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings.

Coming in at number 9 on our hype list, we didn't think that the house sounded bad, just that it didn't appeal to us. Turns out, Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings was the surprise star for everyone in our group. Universal did a great job of taking you into a story without the need to understand the full lore the team created for it.

The house wasn't all gore and no horror. It was incredibly creepy with scares that everyone in our group talked about long after experiencing other houses.

Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings had q moment similar to last year's Dead Man Pier: Winter's Wake where it blended huge outdoor scenes with intimate indoor ones. Scare actors were everywhere, high and low. It was totally awesome.

With so much detail it was easy to get lost in the set design... at least until a scare actor finds you! Just like Dead Man's Pier: Winter's Wake, Universal Creative did themselves proud with the sense of space they created in this house

This was the second house we did that night and afterwards we all struggled to know how anything could top it. Which tells you how good the next houses were.
