7. Spider-Man: Homecoming
Release Date: July 7th, 2017
Status: Completed, ready to land in Summer 2017.
As if you need any reminding, Marvel have their Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man back (perhaps temporarily, but it's still one of the best things to ever happen in MCU history).
After making his debut in Captain America: Civil War (and pretty much stealing the movie as Marvel knew he would) Tom Holland's Peter Parker returns for his first stand-alone (along with Tony Stark as his grumpy, reluctant mentor, obviously). And Marvel have big plans for him.
But of course they do - they've probably paid a lot to licence him partly from Sony, and there's no way this film can be anything other than a massive home run for them. It has to make a billion really, and there's a very good chance it will, even if the trailers have been a little too spoilerific.
Adding Michael Keaton as the villain was a genius move, and the huge, excellent supporting cast is just as exciting as the promise that Homecoming is a comic book movie and a John Hughes-like high school flick rolled into one. That's exactly what Spider-Man should be.
