Every Upcoming MCU Movie Ranked By Anticipation

9. Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania

Black Panther Wakanda Forever

If we’re honest with ourselves, as fun as the first two Ant-Man movies have been, and as much of a national treasure as Paul Rudd is, with two fun but unspectacular outings this particular franchise isn’t one of the MCU’s best.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will complete Peyton Reed’s trilogy, and Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios clearly put a lot of stock into the film as it will open Phase Five next year. However, there is only one reason for this, and it’s not the continuation of Scott Lang’s story.

Instead, after his franchise debut in season one of Loki, the entire reason Quantumania is kicking off Phase Five is Jonathan Majors. He Who Remains is dead, but at least one of his deadly variants will be joining the MCU, as Kang the Conqueror will finally appear on the big screen.

As the villain who will fill Thanos’ shoes as the MCU’s big bad, this truly puts Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on the map. However, the anticipation is for Kang the Conqueror, and Kang the Conqueror alone. If he was to appear in a different movie, no one would care about a third Ant-Man movie.
