The Expendables 3: 10 Action Behemoths The Franchise Is Still Missing

8. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

Pro wrestling legend "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is one of the few wrestling stars to actually have a somewhat successful movie career. Above all, Piper is best known for starring in John Carpenter's 1988 action movie They Live, which features a back-alley brawl between Piper and Keith David that is the greatest fight scene in movie history. Though Piper hasn't been in anything as good since, those five and a half minutes of unforgettable violence cemented Piper's place in action movie history. In both his usual wrestling persona and most of his movie roles, Piper is an unhinged loudmouth who always seems one step away from going completely off the edge. The Expendables franchise hasn't yet had a loose cannon to that degree on the team, and seeing Piper spouting his crazy ramblings as he fires automatic weapons would be just about as good as it possibly gets.
