6. Stupid Sexy Dumbledore

Though there was some consternation when he was cast to play young Dumbledore, Jude Law looks the part as the charismatic Transfiguration professor who is already an important enough figure for the Ministry Of Magic to be suspicious of him and his influence.

This Dumbledore is a sharp-suited, bedazzling charmer with the same twinkle in his eye that Richard Harris wore as part of his costume and a sort of casual cool that Law's casting was always going to guarantee. And while it's silly to reduce him to his looks, the reaction to his appearance seems to suggest that the future headmaster has a lot of "stans" online already.

So far, there's not many hints that he'll be drawing from either Harris or Michael Gambon's performances to influence his own (there is in fact a distinctly Law edge to his performance), but the immediate impact actually suggests that might not be all that necessary.
