Fantastic Beasts: 21 WTF Moments
10. "These Animals Are Endangered: Let's Let Them Eat Each Other"
Newt Scamander is very clear on why he's trying to raise awareness about Fantastic Beasts - they're being exterminated by wizards and witches who don't understand them needlessly and they need to be protected and preserved.
So why exactly does he keep them in an environment without enclosures between the animals that are delicious and the animals that want to eat them? If they're all so precious, shouldn't the site of a slightly larger animal eating one of the smaller ones worry him some? Isn't allowing that to happen precisely the opposite of what he is trying to achieve?!
