Fast & Furious Franchise: 20 Greatest Action Sequences Ranked
4. Furious 7 - Los Angeles
The quietest and least-OTT action scene out of the three main set-pieces in this movie is, nonetheless, the greatest one.
The film sets up a very stressful scenario. Terrorist Mose Jakande (a solid but under-used Djimon Hounsou) has stolen the God's Eye device and Ramsey is trying to hack and disable it from a moving car, all while Jakande pursues her and the team using an aerial drone and a stealth helicopter.
While this is going on, Dom has an absolutely epic fight with Deckard Shaw on a rooftop garage.
The many different chases, fights and mini-set pieces going on throughout this scene are exhilarating on their own, but when they're all edited together with such superb pacing, they combine into an absolutely incredible finale that is almost unbearably tense to watch.
It's also nice that, after the absolute insanity of the rest of the film, it ended with something a little more low-key. Balance is everything.
