Ghostbusters: Every Cameo Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Annie Potts
Role: Desk Clerk
There's not a great deal to say about Annie Potts' cameo other than it being a briefly funny moment and the only one that doesn't completely defy the expectations attached to the original characters.
When faced with the revelation at the Mercado Hotel is the epicentre of Rowan's plot (and also his place of work), the Ghostbusters haul ass there, and demand to know his whereabouts. They're rather comically met by Potts' Desk Clerk who greets them with Janine's iconic "whaddayawant" (which Kevin later steals for his phone message at Ghostbusters HQ).
This is how the cameos should have been done (if at all): her character is an extension of Janine in the originals. She's in the same spirit, has the same personality and feels like more of a reference than the others, who are just shoe-horned into roles that could have been filled by any actor.
